Best of the bunch

This was a birthday gift for our 5 year old. We researched every type of interactive globe available. This one was by far the best in terms of features and price. We wanted one with a pen, but was also easy enough for him to understand and use. Bets of all, this one will be good for many years because you can change the age range and update for current news and events via computer. Great product for a great price!

We are very satisfied with this globe so far but afraid to download new software because a lot of reviews say that they have problems with the globe after downloading.Children are motivated to use it because it offers a lot of fun activities.

This Globe is fantastic. Anyone with kids should get it and Oregon Scientific is on the ball when it comes to keeping it updated. The day after Obama's inauguration, I plugged in the pen and it already had an update naming him as the new president of the US. Very kool game playing and I'm learning as much as my 7 year old.

SmartPen does not update!

I have tried to update the SmartPen for a couple of days now and I get stuck at formatting the pen. It hangs up near the end and uses all my CPU. Talked to support and they don't know anything. They said it sounds like my SmartPen was bad and they would put my name and address on someone's desk and would probably end up sending me a new one. This was after waiting for about 50 minutes on the phone to speak to someone. We'll see if they actually get back to me and send me a new SmartPen.
